VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIESFundraising/ Events Volunteers are the backbone of helping us join our rescue partners in helping to raise much-needed funding year-round. You will be asked to attend events for set-up, tear-down, selling merchandise, and interacting with our supporters.
Graphic Design Artists help with our social media. We need all creative hands on deck to spread the word and get others engaged! Ambassadors help us secure and collect donations for events and fundraisers as needed, and can help with other admin tasks, such as designing e-newsletters or maintaining various records behind the scenes. Board-Level Volunteers are folks who want to be as involved as possible. These are volunteers who are on committees, or working to join our Board of Directors. We are currently in need of a Volunteer Coordinator and Fundraising Director. Every AGM, our key officers may have positions up for election as well. PERKS OF BEING A VOLUNTEERYour membership to Help a Buddy is FREE for every year you are an active volunteer.
EXPECTATIONSCommunication and collaboration are huge priorities for us! You should have a reliable means to communicate via email and technology in place to join the occasional virtual meeting.
There is no minimum time commitment! Volunteer jobs are assigned on an as-needed and as-available basis. Most volunteer commitments require approximately 2-3 hours for a single task, and you will determine how often your schedule allows for you to help out. |

PAID MEMBERSHIPDon't have time to volunteer, but still want to show your support of the rescue community? Buy a membership to support our administrative costs. Memberships can be purchased for a flat rate of $20 per year. Once your application is accepted, you will be given payment instructions. We rarely turn away members, but if this is the case, you will be informed within 5 business days. Please be honest with your responses during your application process. We are not here to judge and this is not a test. However, we do want to ensure all members share the values of Help a Buddy Fund.
