About the Granting Program
In March of each year, Help a Buddy Fund opens up our granting program to eligible animal welfare groups in Alberta. We offer two granting streams and our goal is to distribute a minimum of $4000 per year through this program. Rescue groups must:
Year-round, we partner with rescues all over Alberta to host joint fundraisers that will benefit animals in need and provide financial benefit to rescuers. The fundraising portion Help a Buddy Fund retains is funneled back into our granting program in combination with donations gifted to our cause. |

Our 2025 grant program is open for applications! We encourage all interested parties to apply for the funding available.

If you would like to proceed in applying for one of our grants, please fill out the appropriate application and follow instructions for submission. All grants must be submitted by March 31, 2025 at 11:59pm to be considered.
Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. Incomplete applications, including missing attachments, will not be considered for the funding and you will not be alerted to corrections needed.
If your application is selected for a second review, it will be presented at our Annual General Meeting for voting purposes to select the recipient of the appropriate grant. The selected application for each grant will be announced by electronic mail or phone on or before April 30, 2025. If you are not selected as the recipient of the grant funding, you will be informed by electronic mail.
